Somerset County Board of Commissioners recognized Black History Month

The Somerset County Board of Commissioners recognized Black History Month at their meeting on Tuesday by presenting a proclamation to members of the local chapter of the NAACP. The proclamation said, in part, that Somerset County “recognizes and pays tribute to the many contributions offered in the fields of arts, culture, civic, fraternal, education, religious, and social advancements made by African American citizens in Somerset County.”
Holding the proclamation is Bruce Morgan, President of the New Brunswick Area Branch of the NAACP. He received it from Somerset County Commissioner Director Shanel Y. Robinson, standing to the left of him
