Somerset County’s Office of Emergency Management hosted a conference with freight rail companies that transport materials through the County, municipal OEMs, and first responders, and the NJ Railroad Association to ensure everyone is prepared in an emergency. Such meetings are vital to ensure that the railway companies understand the critical infrastructure and emergency response processes in our County and that all local, county, and state officials know each other’s roles and responsibilities should an accident occur.
