History Buffs: “The President Abroad”
June 21, 2024 (Washington, D.C.) – The White House Historical Association will hold the second installment of its 2024 conversation series, White House History with Margaret Brennan this month on the topic of “The President Abroad.” The event will feature speakers Joseph Hagin, former White House Deputy Chief of Staff and Capricia Penavic Marshall, former United States Chief of Protocol and Partner, FGS Global.
Conversation topics will include presidential travel, how government agencies and departments work to coordinate and plan diplomatic events, and the role the press plays in covering and detailing these trips.
WHERE: The White House Historical Association, 748 Jackson Place NW, Washington, D.C. 20006.
WHEN: 5:30 to 6:30 PM, with an in-person reception to follow.
