Police Blotter July 11th-July 14th:
On July 11, 2024, 7:31pm Mahmoud Younes, 29, of Monmouth Junction, was arrested for possession of stolen property after he was found sleeping on a bench on the Nevius Street Bridge. Officers discovered that Younes had a warrant for his arrest issued by the East Brunswick Township Municipal Court. During a search incident to arrest, officers discovered several packages that had been taken from various residences throughout the borough. Younes was lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing. On July 12, 2024, at 12: 44 a.m., James Young III, 36, of Raritan, was arrested on a no bail warrant issued by the Middlesex Borough Municipal Court. Young was taken to headquarters for processing and turned over to the Middlesex Borough Police Department. On July 12, 2024 at 9:22 p.m., Alex Pilco-Nunez, 35, of Plainfield, was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a report of an erratic driver on Route 202. Nunez was also charged with reckless driving, careless driving, speeding, unsafe lane change, failure to maintain lane, improper use of high beams and inoperable lamps. Nunez was later released to a responsible party. On July 13, 204 at 8:39 p.m., Alberto Quesada-Castro, 39, of Somerville, was arrested for a traffic warrant following a motor vehicle stop on Frelinghuysen Ave. The warrant had been issued for failing to appear in court for a previous driving while intoxicated charge. Castro posted bail and was released. On July 14, 2024 at 11:53 p.m., Jose Cadido Rojas, 34, of Neptune, was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a call for an erratic driver on Route 206. Officers located the vehicle Rojas was driving and placed him under arrest after performing field sobriety tests. Rojas was later released to a responsible party.
