DisABILITY Expo and Job Fair To Be Held at Senior Wellness Center at Bridgewater on Oct. 5
BRIDGEWATER, NJ – Visit the DisABILITY Expo and Job Fair on Saturday, Oct. 5, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at the Senior Wellness Center at Bridgewater, 876 East Main St., Bridgewater, NJ 08807. This unique event is open to the public and will provide Expo visitors with the opportunity to obtain disability-related information, resources, and employment opportunities. Free transportation is available, but individuals must pre-register by Sept. 16 to reserve transportation.
This is a “one-stop” information and resource event that will give county residents the opportunity to meet representatives from more than 30 county, state, and local agencies and businesses. The Expo features disability-related information, experts to assist with financial-based programs such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), employment opportunities, and workshops that will be of value to anyone who wants to learn about the many services available to Somerset County residents. Job Seekers
Individuals seeking employment will have access to a variety of employment resources. Job seekers should dress to impress and bring their resumes. Parents and Job coaches are welcome to attend.
Free Presentations
Visitors can participate in the following free workshops:
- Emergency Preparedness & Register Ready provides participants with emergency preparedness tips and an overview of the Register Ready program, which helps emergency responders assist individuals with disabilities during an emergency. The NJ Office of Emergency Management, Access Functional Needs Planner Kelly Boyd will lead the workshop.
- Personal Assistance Services Program (PASP) helps empower individuals with disabilities to live actively in their communities. In this presentation, participants will learn how the program provides funds for personal care, transportation, errands, housekeeping, medical supplies and more. The Office on Aging & Disability Services, Community Education Associate Jannell Wilson will present this program.
Free Transportation
The Somerset County Transportation Division will provide free transportation through its paratransit services. Parking will be available at the TD Bank Ballpark. Residents must pre-register for transportation by Monday, Sept. 16.

The Somerset County AAA/ADRC is the local agency for ensuring seniors (60+), adults with disabilities (18+), and their caregivers have easy access to information, long-term services, and support. The agency is available to answer caregiving questions, give referrals to services, and much more. The office is open to walk-ins and curbside assistance is available.
