(Somerville, NJ) – Sue Altman, the Democratic nominee for New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District, has set the remaining dates for her district-wide town hall tour in the lead-up to this hyper-competitive Cook Political Report Toss-Up race.
Following her Warren County town hall on Thursday, September 26th in Phillipsburg, Sue’s town town hall tour will make stops in Sussex, Union, and Somerset counties.
Additionally, Sue will return to Warren County for an additional town hall at Centenary University, the district’s only four-year institution of higher education. This event will specifically address students and young voters at Centenary and across the district.
The full list of all upcoming town halls includes:
- Warren County - Phillipsburg
- Thursday, September 26th - 6:00pm
- Sussex County - Sparta
- Saturday, October 5th - 1:00pm
- Somerset County - Bridgewater
- Tuesday, October 8th - 6:00pm
- Centenary University - Hackettstown
- Thursday, October 10th - 6:00pm
- Union County - Rahway
- Wednesday, October 16th - 6:00pm
Specific venue locations will be provided prior to each event.
At each town hall, Sue plans to highlight the issues most important to voters across the district and then open the floor to members of the public for unscripted questions.
“I’m glad our town halls are demonstrating to voters what real leadership and representation looks like," Sue said. "I can see the open, transparent nature we bring to our events has a real effect on our attendees, especially after two years of Tom Kean, Jr. shirking his basic responsibilities as the congressperson of this district – hiding from reporters, opponents, and his own constituents. If he’s incapable of showing up for NJ-07, then I’m happy to fill that vacuum of leadership and bring a sense of honesty back to this district.”
