ICYMI - Somerset County Prosecutor's Office partnered with the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness (NJOHSP)
On October 30, 2024, the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office, in collaboration with the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness (NJOHSP), conducted a Stop the Bleed Training session for representatives from various Houses of Worship across Somerset County.
The interactive course equipped participants with fundamental skills to identify and manage severe bleeding through the use of tourniquets, wound packing, and pressure dressings. It also empowered them as immediate responders to control life-threatening hemorrhages before the arrival of emergency services. Participants who completed the training received a Stop the Bleed Kit for emergencies such as shootings or similar critical incidents.
