Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw announced that a 58-year-old Gloucester City man has pled guilty to sexually assaulting two minors four years ago.
Under the terms of an agreement with the Prosecutor’s Office, Henry Papaleo entered guilty pleas yesterday to two counts of Sexual Assault of a Child Less than 13 Years of Age (Second Degree) in exchange for a 17-year term in state prison. The Hon. Aimee R. Belgard, J.S.C., scheduled sentencing for April 4, 2025, in Superior Court in Mount Holly.
The investigation began last year after the victims informed their parents of the assaults. In an effort to protect the identities of the victims, further details about the assaults are being withheld, as is information regarding the circumstances of Papaleo’s access to the children.
Papaleo is being prosecuted by Assistant Prosecutor Stephen Eife, supervisor of the BCPO Special Victims Unit. The investigation was conducted by the Prosecutor’s Office, with assistance from the Moorestown Township Police Department and the New Jersey State Police. BCPO Detective Brisa Mosley was the lead investigator.
