ICYMI - Finderne Fire Responds to Branchburg Apartment Fire and Overturned Tractor‑Trailer Incident

The Finderne Fire Department responded to two significant calls on Wednesday, March 18, 2026.

At 5:51 a.m., units were requested to assist Branchburg Township for a fire at an apartment complex. Deputy 30, Assistant 30, and Rescue 30 responded, with crews assigned to RIC (Rapid Intervention Crew) operations while firefighters worked at the scene.

At 7:42 a.m., while crews were still operating in Branchburg, Finderne Fire was dispatched to Union Avenue and Chimney Rock Road for an overturned tractor‑trailer with possible entrapment. Engine 302 responded. At the request of the Somerset County Mutual Aid Coordinator, additional support was provided by the Manville and Bound Brook Fire Departments. Somerset County Haz‑Mat also responded due to a reported fuel leak.
