Raritan Borough Police Department Makes Everyone Tickled Pink During Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Image

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.  Every year, the Raritan Borough Police Department participates in the "No Shave November Cancer Awareness Initiative".

This year, the Department announced on their Facebook page they will grow their beards from October 1st through the end of November.  As part of the initiative, they also choose a cause to support. This year is METAvivor, which is a non-profit organization that seeks support for research and awareness for women and men who have been diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. The officers will also wear baseball-style patrol caps with a pink Raritan Police patch in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.  There is also a direct link to the page to donate: METAvivor Research and Support .
