Treats Not Tricks Come with A Well-Attended Trunk or Treat from Raritan Recreation
Saturday afternoon was a gathering of enthusiastic families from Raritan Borough dressed from head to toe to celebrate Halloween early as a community. The Raritan Recreation crafted a fun and festive event for the town's Trunk or Treat held at the JFK Primary parking lot and lawn.
The Raritan Borough Police were in attendance to ensure safety and ease of parking for everyone. Neighbors that participated in the Trunk competition arrived early and lined up to show their creativity and good spirit to celebrate Hallow's Eve.
There were numerous blow-up displays for photos cleverly set up near the public playground so kids and parents could socially distance, walk and play comfortably. The JFK PTO made an appearance managing a few activity tables for the "guess the pumpkin" drawing and distributed candy to attendees. PNC Bank showed support by offering healthy treat items such as veggie sticks and providing orange tote bags and water bottles.
DJ Al of Union, NJ kept the event lively with music even as the dark clouds began circling by the end of the last costume contest.
Overall the pre-Halloween Trunk or Treat was commented on by attendees as another winning event for Raritan Recreation.
As the third consistent event by Recreation, the steady number of attendees grows as word spreads in the community about a safe way to connect and celebrate locally.
Raritan Recreation is showcasing a fresh perspective on bringing together families, neighbors, and local businesses in a positive way that continues to make Raritan Borough a place for everyone to call home.
