(For Immediate Release – Somerset County, NJ)The Somerset County Board of County Commissioners will hold an in-person ceremony starting at 8:46 a.m. on Thursday, September 11, 2025, to commemorate the 24th anniversary of the terrorist attacks.
"We gather each September 11th to pause, remember, and honor the nearly 3,000 innocent lives lost on that tragic Tuesday morning 24 years ago," said Commissioner Director Shanel Y. Robinson.
The ceremony will begin in front of the Somerset County Historic Courthouse in Somerville. County Commissioners will read the names of the 39 County residents lost in the World Trade Center attacks on September 11, 2001.
Immediately following will be a wreath presentation at the Memorial Clock Tower, located at the corner of Main and Bridge Streets.
