Somerville Police to Conduct Training Exercises on February 16

The Somerville Police Department will be conducting training exercises at Immaculate Conception School and the Church of the Immaculate Conception tomorrow, February 16, between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM.

The training will begin with a simulated police response at the school, which will require a temporary closure of Mountain Avenue between Cliff Street and High Street.

Residents may notice an increased police presence in the area. Please be assured that this is only a training exercise.

The department appreciates the community’s cooperation and understanding as they continue working to keep local schools and neighborhoods safe.
