ICYMI - Bound Brook Fire Department- Worker Injured in Construction Accident
Bound Brook Police Chief, Richard S. Colombaroni announced an on-going investigation into a construction accident that occurred at a Hamilton Street construction site in the Borough of Bound Brook.Chief Colombaroni stated that on September 5, 2024 at approximately 3:36 p.m. Bound Brook Police responded to the construction site at 100 Hamilton Street for the report of a fall victim. Responding officers found a 39 year-old construction worker who had fallen approximately 10 to 15 feet landing on an elevated section of scaffolding. Officers, Emergency Medical personnel from Bound Brook EMS and Paramedics Robert Wood Johnson provided medical care. After being extricated from scaffolding by emergency personnel from the Bound Brook Fire Department, Bound Brook Rescue Squad and Finderne Fire department, the victim was transported to a local trauma center for treatment of non life-threatening injuries. Chief Colombaroni stated that Bound Brook construction officials and representatives from OSHA are conducting the investigation and would like to express his gratitude to all the responding agencies.
