The Somerville Police Department announced the following arrests for the months of April & May 2025. All of the persons/defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law:
On April 1, 2025 at 4:47 pm, Jessica Reid, 40, of Bound Brook, was arrested on multiple outstanding warrants for her arrest following a pedestrian traffic stop on West Main Street. After making contact with Reid, she was discovered to have two active warrants for her arrest out of Plainfield and South Brunswick. Reid was processed and ultimately released on her own recognizance pending future court dates.
On April 3, 2025 at 2:53 pm, a 29-year-old male resident of Somerville was arrested for providing/making false reports to law enforcement following a domestic violence incident.
The male was criminally charged and released pending a court appearance.
On April 4, 2025, at 7:11 pm, Alexa Farenga, 37, of Raritan, was arrested for Burglary, Credit Card Theft, Theft of Property, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia following police response to the report of a female who was witnessed stealing items from the inside of a parked vehicle.
Through further investigation, contact was made with Farenga on scene and she was ultimately developed as the suspect for this incident. Farenga was criminally charged with Burglary, Credit Card Theft, Theft of Property, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing.
On April 6, 2025, at 8:45 pm, Daniel Ganbino-Maldonado, 32, of Raritan was arrested for an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
After being arrested by the Raritan Police Department during an unrelated incident, Ganbino-Maldonado was discovered to have an active warrant for his arrest out of Somerville. Ganbino-Maldonado was subsequently arrested and lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing.On April 7, 2025, at 2:44 pm, a 43-year-old male resident of Somerville was arrested for Assault following a domestic violence incident. The male was criminally charged and lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing.On April 10, 2025, at 4:41 am a 21-year-old male resident of Bridgewater was arrested for Violation of a Restraining Order following a domestic violence incident.
The male was criminally charged and lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing.On April 11, 2025 at 1:09 am, Ralph Fattoruso, 50, of Somerville was arrested for an outstanding warrant for his arrest following a pedestrian traffic stop. A patrol officer observed Fattoruso walking on East Main Street and discovered that Fattoruso had an active warrant for his arrest out of Raritan. Fattoruso was processed and ultimately released on his own recognizance pending a future court date.
On April 12, 2025 at 12:14 pm, Hawa Boani, 41, of Somerville was arrested for an outstanding out-of-state warrant for her arrest following a motor vehicle stop on North Gaston Avenue. During the motor vehicle stop, Boani was discovered to have an outstanding warrant for her arrest out of the state of Maryland (Nationwide Extradition) for burglary-related offenses. Boani was charged with being a Fugitive From Justice and failure to wear a seatbelt. Boani was ultimately lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending extradition back to Maryland.On April 12, 2025, at 10:34 pm, Abdellah Snaike, 24, of Raritan was arrested for Improper/Misuse of 911 following police response to the report of an unknown problem at a business on West Main Street.
Through further investigation, contact was made with Snaike on scene and he was suspected to have been repeatedly misusing 911 in an improper manner for non-emergent matters. Snaike was criminally charged and released pending a future court date.
On April 13, 2025 at 10:49 pm, Stephanie Walker, 42, of North Plainfield, was arrested for motor vehicle theft following an incident that occurred in Somerville on 09/21/2024. A patrol officer responded to the residence of a Somerville man who reported that his motor vehicle had recently been stolen from outside of his residence. Through an extensive investigation, Walker was identified as the suspect for this incident. Walker was subsequently criminally charged with Motor Vehicle Theft, and a warrant for her arrest was issued. On April 13, 2025, Walker was arrested by the South Plainfield Police Department during an unrelated incident and taken into custody on the active Somerville warrant. Walker was ultimately lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing for this incident.On April 17, 2025, at 3:51 pm, Tnannette Jackson, 55, of Branchburg, was arrested for narcotics-related offenses following a motor vehicle stop on Veterans Memorial Drive West. During the motor vehicle stop, Jackson was discovered to be in possession of various drug paraphernalia in addition to an open beer container within the vehicle. Jackson was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of an Open Alcoholic Beverage Container within a Motor Vehicle, in addition to various traffic-related offenses. Jackson was criminally charged and released pending a future court date.
On April 19, 2025, at 9:35pm, Victor Wheeler, 34, of Somerville, was arrested for Obstruction of Law Enforcement following a pedestrian stop on West Main Street. Wheeler was criminally charged with Obstruction of Law Enforcement and a traffic-related offense. On April 22, 2025, at 1:11 am, Fulani Muhammad, 29, of North Plainfield, was arrested for an outstanding warrant for his arrest. After being arrested by the Plainfield Police Department during an unrelated incident, Muhammad was discovered to have an active warrant for his arrest out of Somerville. Muhammad was subsequently arrested and lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing.
On April 22, 2025 at 9:41 am, Tamir Johnson, 30, of Plainfield was arrested for an outstanding warrant for his arrest following a motor vehicle stop on East High Street. After making contact with Johnson, he was discovered to have an active warrant for his arrest out of Dunellen. Johnson was processed and ultimately released on his own recognizance pending a future court date.
On April 22, 2025 at 11:38 pm, Amel Garcia, 37, of Bridgewate,r was arrested for an outstanding warrant for his arrest following a motor vehicle stop on Green Street. After making contact with Garcia, he was discovered to have an active warrant for his arrest out of Branchburg. Garcia was processed and ultimately released on his own recognizance after posting the required cash bail pending a future court date. On April 23, 2025, at 8:48 am, Destiny Murdock, 27, of Somerville, was arrested for an outstanding warrant for her arrest following a motor vehicle stop on North Bridge Street. After making contact with Murdock, she was discovered to have an active warrant for his arrest out of Hillsborough.
Murdock was processed and ultimately released on her own recognizance after posting the required cash bail pending a future court date. On April 23, 2025, at 1:19 pm, Joshua Velez, 37, of Bridgewater, was arrested for narcotics-related offenses following a vehicle check within a private/closed parking deck on East Main Street. During the vehicle check, Velez was discovered to be in possession of narcotics in addition to various drug paraphernalia within the vehicle. Velez was criminally charged with Failure to Surrender a Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Velez was processed and released pending a future court date.
On April 26, 2025 at 1:20 am, David Wilson, 58, of East Orang,e was criminally charged with Burglary, Criminal Attempt (Burglary), Theft, and Trespassing following an incident which occurred in Somerville on April 08. 2025. A patrol officer responded to the residence of a Somerville woman who reported that multiple vehicles parked on her residence had recently been burglarized with items stolen from within. Through extensive investigation, Wilson was developed as the suspect for this incident. Wilson was subsequently criminally charged with Burglary, Criminal Attempt (Burglary), Theft, & Trespassing, and a warrant for his arrest was issued. On May 29, 2025, Wilson was arrested by the Union Township Police Department during an unrelated incident and taken into custody on the active Somerville warrant in addition to various outside warrants. Wilson was ultimately lodged in the Essex County Jail pending a detention hearing.
On April 26, 2025, at 3:54 pm, a 23-year-old male resident of Somerville was arrested for Assault following a domestic violence incident. The male was criminally charged and lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing.
On April 26, 2025 at 10:20 am, Thando Campbell, 31, of Somerville, was arrested for an outstanding warrant for his arrest following a motor vehicle stop on West Orchard Street. After making contact with Campbell, he was discovered to have an active warrant for his arrest out of South Bound Brook. Campbell was processed and ultimately released on her own recognizance after posting the required cash bail pending a future court date.
On May 1, 2025 at 4:50 pm, Rafael Medeiros, 37, of Somerville, was arrested for Criminal Mischief with Damage following police response for the report of property damage at a residence on East Main Street. Through further investigation, contact was made with Medeiros on scene and he was ultimately developed as the suspect for this incident. Medeiros was criminally charged and released pending a future court date.
On May 2, 2025 at 3:49 am, Corey Arline, 33, of Bound Broo,k was arrested for an outstanding warrant for his arrest following a pedestrian stop/welfare check at the Somerville Train Station. Arline was found sleeping on top of a bench within the train station platform, and upon making contact he was discovered to have an active warrant for his arrest out of the Middlesex County Sheriff's Office. Arline was ultimately lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing.
On May 3, 2025 at 5:46 am, Julisse Velez, 32, of Brooklyn, New York, was arrested for Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer and Throwing/Discarding Bodily Fluids on a Law Enforcement Officer following police response for the report of an assault on a police officer at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset. Through further investigation, contact was made with Velez on scene and she was ultimately developed as the suspect for this incident. Velez was criminally charged and lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing.
On May 3, 2025 at 3:08 pm, Christopher Browne, 38, of Somerville, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct following a pedestrian stop outside of Starbucks on West Main Street. A patrol officer observed Browne behaving in an irate/belligerent manner for an extended period of time while standing outside of the business, which caused numerous bystanders to become visibly alarmed. Browne was criminally charged and released pending a future court date.
On May 5, 2025, at 3:13 am, a 35-year-old male resident of Somerville was arrested for Criminal Mischief with Damage following a domestic violence incident. The male was criminally charged and lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing.
On May 6, 2025 at 7:28am, Eric Nowak, 57, of Middlesex was arrested for Disorderly Conduct following an incident which occurred in at the Motor Vehicle Commission office in Somerville on 04/08/2025. A representative of the agency contacted the police and reported that a male subject had entered the business and made alarming/threatening remarks of harm toward staff prior to leaving the scene. Through extensive investigation, Nowak was developed as the suspect for this incident. Nowak was subsequently criminally charged with Disorderly Conduct and a complaint summons was issued to Nowak pending a future court date.
On May 5, 2025 at 11:54pm, Valentino Dellapello III, 29, of Union was arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Hollow-Point Bullets, and Aggravated Assault (Pointing a Firearm) following police response for the report of a dispute which had occurred at an establishment on East Main Street. Through further investigation, contact was made with Delapello III and he was developed as the suspect for this incident. Delapello III was subsequently criminally charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Hollow-Point Bullets, and Aggravated Assault (Pointing a Firearm) and was lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing.
On May 6, 2025 at 1:52 pm, Frankie Peoples, 62, of Somerville, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for his arrest following a pedestrian traffic stop on East High Street. After making contact with Peoples, he was discovered to have an active warrant for his arrest out of the Middlesex County Sheriff's Office. Peoples was processed and lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing.
On May 6, 2025, at 3:29 pm, Angel Negron, 42, of Seaside Heights, was arrested on multiple outstanding warrants for his arrest following police response for the report of a theft at the Shoprite.
After making contact with Negron, he was discovered to have active warrants for his arrest out of Lakehurst, Wall Township, and Brick. Negron was processed and ultimately released on his own recognizance pending future court dates.On May 6, 2025 at 6:15pm, Gabriel Davidson-Piedra, 29, of Somerville, was arrested for Criminal Sexual Contact following an incident which occurred in Somerville on 04/28/2025. Police responded to the area of East Main Street to meet with an individual who reported that an unknown male subject had committed an unwanted touching of their person. Through extensive investigation, Davidson-Piedra was developed as the suspect for this incident. Davidson-Piedra was subsequently criminally charged with Criminal Sexual Contact and a warrant for his arrest was issued. On May 6, 2025, Davidson-Piedra was arrested by the Somerville Police Department and lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing for this incident. On May 8, 2025, at 2:51 am, Ustania McNamara, 43, of Manville, was arrested for an outstanding warrant for her arrest. After being arrested by the Manville Police Department during an unrelated incident, McNamara was discovered to have an active warrant for his arrest out of Somerville. McNamara was subsequently arrested and lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing.
On May 8, 2025 at 8:41 pm, Shakaira Hall, 40, of Monmouth Junction, was arrested for offenses relating to Narcotics, Child Endangerment, Aggravated Assault, Assault by Auto, Resisting Arrest, DWI, and Witness Tampering following police response for the report of an assault at a residence on Second Street. Through further investigation, contact was made with Hall on scene and she was ultimately developed as the suspect for this incident. Hall was criminally charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child (2 Counts), Assault by Auto, Aggravated Assault with a Weapon, Aggravated Assault, Possession of Narcotics, Driving While Intoxicated/Impaired, Witness Tampering, and numerous related traffic offenses. Hall was lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing. On May 10, 2025, at 1:35 pm, Brian Briddle, 48, of Bound Broo,k was arrested for narcotics-related offenses and hindering apprehension following a motor vehicle stop on East Main Street. During the motor vehicle stop, Briddle was discovered to be in possession of narcotics and various drug paraphernalia in addition to attempting to hinder his apprehension. Briddle was charged with Failure to Surrender a Controlled Dangerous Substance (2 Counts), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Hindering Apprehension (Destroy/Discard Evidence), Possession of Prescription/Legend Drugs without a Prescription, in addition to various traffic-related offenses. Briddle was criminally charged and released pending a future court date.
On May 11, 2025, at 2:40 pm, Abdus Jones, 34, of North Brunswick, was arrested for Hindering Apprehension, Obstructing Law Enforcement, and multiple outstanding warrants for his arrest following a pedestrian traffic stop on Somerset Street. After making contact with Jones, he obstructed law enforcement and also provided a false identity to police. Upon discovering Jones' true identity, he was discovered to have multiple active warrants for his arrest out of the Mercer County Sheriff's Office, New Brunswick, and Perth Amboy. Jones was criminally charged with Hindering Apprehension, Obstructing Law Enforcement, and a traffic-related offense. Jones was processed and ultimately lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing.
On May 14, 2025, at 4:20 pm, Angel Rivera, 32, of Seaford, Delaware,e was arrested for an outstanding warrant for his arrest. After making contact with Rivera at police headquarters, Rivera was discovered to have an active warrant for his arrest out of Franklin Township. Custody of Rivera was subsequently turned over to the Franklin Township Police Department for processing.
On May 15, 2025, at 11:50 am, Aaron Vaughn, 33, of Somerville, was arrested for Defiant Trespassing following police response for the report of trespassing at a business on North Gaston Avenue. Through further investigation, Vaughn was ultimately identified as the suspect for this incident. Vaughn was criminally charged with Defiant Trespassing (Against Notice) and issued a complaint summons pending a future court date.
On May 16, 2025, at 5:42 am, Carl Bayuk Jr., 66, of Somerville was arrested for Disorderly Conduct following police response for the report of a suspicious person laying on the ground outside of an apartment complex on Robeson Street. Through further investigation, contact was made on scene with Bayuk Jr., and he was observed behaving in an irate/belligerent manner which caused numerous bystanders to become visibly alarmed. Bayuk Jr. was criminally charged and released pending a future court date.
On May 18, 2025, at 12:16 pm, Crystal Kent, 29, of Sussex, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for her arrest following a pedestrian for a borough ordinance violation near the Southside Park. After making contact with Kent, she was discovered to have an active warrant for her arrest out of Franklin. Kent was processed and ultimately released on her own recognizance pending a future court date.
On May 22, 2025, at 7:18 am, a 32-year-old male resident of Raritan was arrested for Criminal Mischief with Damage, Narcotics Possession, Hindering Apprehension, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Unlawful Possession of Prescription/Legend Drugs following a domestic violence incident. The male was criminally charged and lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing.
On May 23, 2025, at 2:06 am, Joseph Pulkowski, 33, of Somerville, was issued a citation for Lewdness following a pedestrian stop for a borough ordinance violation on West Main Street. A patrol officer was on patrol and observed a male subject actively urinating within an alleyway on West Main Street. Through further investigation, contact was made with Pulkowski, and he was issued a citation for the borough ordinance violation of "Lewdness". Pulkowski was released from the scene pending a future court date.
On May 25, 2025 at 3:28 am, Daniel Hardina, 39, of Orange, was arrested for an outstanding warrant for his arrest following a vehicle check/welfare check on Fourth Street. A patrol officer observed a male subject sleeping inside of a vehicle parked outside of a closed business. Upon making contact, Hardina was discovered to have an active warrant for his arrest out of Elizabeth. Hardina was processed and released pending a future court date.
On May 31, 2025, at 12:51 pm, Jeanette Zurita, 50, of Byram, was arrested for an outstanding warrant for her arrest. After being arrested by the Wayne Police Department during an unrelated incident, Zurita was discovered to have an active warrant for her arrest out of Somerville. Zurita was subsequently arrested and lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing.
