Piscataway travels to Bridgewater this Friday for a 6:00PM game vs. the Panthers.
The Chiefs lost last year’s game, 52-48, despite Jahai Johnson’s national-record tying three kickoff returns for touchdowns.
Bridgewater was impressive in a 35-20 win over Notre Dame last week. The Panthers ran for 244 yards and threw for 98 more as they moved to 1-0.
Piscataway defeated long-time rival Edison, 31-14, coming from behind in the second half to move to 1-0.
Piscataway holds a 3-2 lead in the series vs. Bridgewater and a 27-17-1 advantage over all versions of Bridgewater schools (12-8-0 over B-R East; 12-7-1 over B-R West).
Indications are for a chance of rain early in the day Friday, with warm air moving in from the south, bringing game-time temperatures into the mid-upper 70s.
Kickoff is set for 6:00 PM.
