NORTH PLAINFIELD, NJ — Somerset County dispatchers showed up in full force this afternoon as both supporters and participants at the 2026 St. Baldrick’s head‑shaving event, hosted by the North Plainfield Fire Department.

Dispatchers Misciagna, Barrett, Russo, and Walls bravely took their turn in the barber’s chair, while Dispatcher Hardgrove served as barber for the team. Together, the group raised more than $2,000 toward St. Baldrick’s mission to conquer childhood cancer.

A special shout‑out also went to Somerset County Commissioner and Shavee Drake, who volunteered to join the effort, along with all of the other teams and individuals who participated.

Thanks to the collective efforts of everyone involved, the event brought in over $30,000 for childhood cancer research.

Organizers extended their appreciation to @npfirefightersiaff and event coordinator/MC Pauli for hosting and running the fundraiser, and to all who donated, shared, and helped the dispatchers surpass their goal.

“See you next year!” the team added, celebrating another successful year supporting a meaningful cause.
