“Survivor Inclusion in Combatting Human trafficking in New Jersey Counties” -NJAC VIRTUAL WORKSHOP SERIES 2024
The New Jersey Association of Counties (NJAC) is pleased to present a discussion on SURVIVOR INCLUSION
IN COMBATTING HUMAN TRAFFICKING IN NEW JERSEY COUNTIES as the latest in a series free virtual workshops
NJAC will host in 2024 on a variety of topics that impact county governments across the State. In this
session, you’ll hear directly from a survivor about how including the voices of those who have lived with
the experience is not only the solution to making New Jersey citizens aware that human trafficking is
happening in our counties, but is also the way forward for human trafficking prevention. This
educational presentation will begin with an explanation of human trafficking in legal terms, showing
that this criminal act, mostly driven by financial gain, involves the use of force, fraud, and coercion for
the purpose of forced labor or sexual exploitation.
