SOMERVILLE, NJ – Learn the Division of Children Protection & Permanency’s (DCPP’s) referral process for childhood abuse and neglect in the free webinar “DCF and the Community Working Together.” Presenter Michelle DuFour, a DCPP expert, will provide valuable information on Friday, March 31, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Participants will receive 1.5 professional credits. In this webinar, participants will learn about the DCPP referral process, how to report cases, learn the legal definitions of abuse and neglect, and discuss case studies. Attendees will also better understand how to successfully team with families and assess the needs of children and youth while building upon their strengths responsively and respectfully.

Webinar Presenter Michelle Dufour
Michelle DuFour has a master’s degree in forensic psychology and a dual bachelor’s degree in psychology and criminal Justice. For the past 14 years, she has been employed with the Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCPP), Somerville, NJ. She has worked in various roles with DCPP including permanency, intake, emergency response, supervisor, and community liaison.
In her current role as a DCPP Resource Development Specialist, Ms. DuFour provides families with professional and community resources. She also provides education and outreach for the Children's Interagency Coordinating Council's Education Partnership.
