(For Immediate Release – Somerset County, NJ): Veterans and their families seeking resources, employment opportunities, health and wellness information, VA disability information, and access to services are invited to attend the second annual Veterans Resource Job and Wellness Fair. The event will be hosted on Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 4-7 p.m. at the VFW Post located at 600 Washington Avenue in Manville.
“Last year, our Veterans Services division, in collaboration with the Department of Veterans Affairs, was able to help our Somerset County resident veterans obtain $5.8 million in benefits,” said Commissioner Director Shanel Y. Robinson. “As an Air Force Veteran, I’m familiar with the challenges that veterans face. I encourage veterans and their families to attend this event; we can help you navigate access to resources and will be sharing other vital information.”
At this free event, Somerset County Commissioner Director Shanel Y. Robinson will present a brief keynote about “Serving Those Who Serve.” Registration is requested: https://webapps.co.somerset.nj.us/services/grwdb/communityvetsfair2025.aspx
The event is an opportunity for attendees to network with more than forty local employment resources and employers, speak with the County’s’ Veteran Service Officers (VSO) about resources and disability claims, and gain information from the Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Affairs Healthcare Administration, and more.
