BRIDGEWATER, NJ –Somerset County’s Richard Hall Community Health & Wellness Center (RHCHWC) recently received accreditation and the Gold Seal of Approval® from the large health care accreditation agency known as The Joint Commission (JC) for the eighth consecutive time since 2002. To achieve this level of excellence, RHCHWC was required to demonstrate its ability to comply with strict national standards and provide the highest quality of behavioral health care to its patients and local communities.

“The Joint Commission conducted an unannounced, arduous onsite review of Richard Hall’s quality of behavioral healthcare by conducting face-to-face interviews and a deep analysis of Richard Hall’s procedures and record system,” said Somerset County Commissioner Paul M. Drake, human services liaison. “We are proud that they passed with flying colors based on their exemplary leadership, and by exceeding standards for behavioral health care, patient safety, medication management, emergency management, and the ability to comply with standards of ethics, and the rights and responsibilities of patients.”

Specifically, the RHCHWC staff were praised for their hard work and dedication to providing excellent and compassionate care for their clients. Executive Director of Richard Hall Health and Wellness Center Nicci Spinazzola said, “Our surveyor commented several times about the outstanding stewardship at Richard Hall, the friendly and welcoming staff, and the quality of our work.

“It is an honor to work with our staff as they continue to uphold Richard Hall’s mission, vision, and values. There are no words to express my gratitude,” she said.
