Janice Cross-Gilyard is a Charter Member of The Harriet Tubman Chapter of Sons & Daughters of the United States Middle Passage. She joined the Afro-American Historical and Genealogical Society (AAHGS) – New Jersey Chapter in March of 2016 serving her second term as President.
Janice is the Editor of the Family Times Newsletter for AAHGS – NJ Chapter.
Janice has presented at public libraries, churches, and universities and has given virtual presentations Janice has conducted her family research for the past 25 years and has documented her family history back to 1720.
