Looking for something to do while enjoying summer and seeing the sights. Why not try a self-guided driving tour of Bucks County's 12 remaining covered bridges?
The first takes about two hours to complete, while the second takes about an hour and a half. Drive by them one at a time, or make a day out of it and complete the whole tour.
The tour makes a large circle through Bucks County and is planned so the traveler can start at any one of the bridges. Don’t forget to stop inside Bucks County’s historic towns & main streets for lunch or a coffee break.
Download the below Covered Bridge Map here .
You can also download Bucks County's Covered Bridge Society's new mobile app that provides self-guided tours to all 12 wooden structures.
NOTE: The majority of the bridges do not have areas to pull off and take photographs.
For the most picturesque spots, head to Perkasie and Tyler State Park's covered bridges still a fun way to explore locally and bond with your fellow traveling partner.
