4-H Fair County Government Tent Hosting Games, Activities, Music, and More in 2024 Accepting Food Donations
BRIDGEWATER, NJ – Enjoy a warm summer day with the familiar aroma of cotton candy and tasty fair food floating through the air at the Somerset County 4-H Fair where there is free, entertainment and family fun for everyone. Participate in games, activities, and win prizes while learning about the County’s many free programs and services. Stop by the County Government Tent on Aug. 7, 8, and 9 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
“Attending the 4-H Fair has become a longstanding tradition for generations of families, some of whom come from as far as Pennsylvania. It’s a great opportunity for us to connect with members of the community in a fun environment,” said Somerset County Commissioner Director Shanel Robinson. “Don’t forget to visit us! We have some special programs planned in the County Government Tent that you won’t want to miss!”
County Government Tent Hosts “Cows are Great Recyclers” & The Full Monty Uke Band
Toes will tap when the Fully Monty Uke Band performs popular classics from the ‘60s and ‘70s with ukuleles that make complicated music sound simple. The band will be playing on Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2:45 p.m.
Find out why “Cows Are Great Recyclers” from Matt Puskas of Middlebush Dairy Farm on Wednesday, Aug. 7,12:45 p.m., and 2:45 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8 and Friday, Aug. 9.
Kids will not want to miss “Rhythm and Rhyme Storytime” an interactive storytelling experience on Friday, Aug. 9 at 11:45 a.m.

Play to Win in the County Government Tent
Enter a prize drawing at the Public Information Office table for a chance to win a golf umbrella, roses, tickets to the Raritan Valley Community College theater, or a Patriots baseball game at TD Bank Ballpark.
New This Year – Donate to Curbing Hunger
Fair visitors can donate food by dropping off non-perishable food in the Curbing Hunger bins located at the entrance of the County Government Tent. Donations will be distributed to local food banks.
“High prices and housing costs have had an impact on many of our residents, and access to healthy, nutritional food is difficult for many families,” said Commissioner Director Shanel Robinson. “Residents can help combat this problem by donating to Curbing Hunger All Year.”

The 4-H Fair has become an annual cornerstone of Somerset County. Attracting a diverse and ever-growing attendance, the fair has created a strong foundation for 4-H youth to showcase their leadership, community, teamwork, and most importantly, their 4-H spirit.
