The event celebrated the individuals and partners who make the organization’s mission possible.
“The breakfast today was a celebration of our donors and our partners,” said Michele Boronkas, CEO of Safe+Sound Somerset. “We believe our donors are the reason we’re here. We are the only social impact organization in Somerset County that serves the comprehensive needs of domestic and sexual violence survivors. To see someone first come through the door, who’s almost afraid to tell us their name, and they come out weeks later with their head held high and a plan for their life, it’s transformative.”
In 2025, Safe+Sound Somerset provided services to nearly 6,000 clients, with 90% residing in Somerset County. Their support includes legal advocacy, emergency housing, counseling, and a 24/7 helpline for anyone experiencing domestic or sexual violence.
