The Learning Gate is a non-profit early childhood education center that serves children from six weeks to six years of age. They’re committed to offering affordable care and nutritious meals throughout the day for area families.

“This playhouse has created another safe place at our center for our children to explore their natural environment during outdoor play,” says Christina Martinkovic, Site Director at The Learning Gate. “Thank you to Raritan Valley Habitat for Humanity and Henkel  for their time, their dedication, and their hard work to make this happen for The Learning Gate.” Habitat projects are truly community projects. Volunteers and generous donors fuel every step--from funding to planning, and building to homeowner support.

Raritan Valley Habitat Executive Director Jessica Abbott was thrilled to work with Henkel to support The Learning Gate. “We are so appreciative of Henkel’s support in making this project possible. Meaningful partnerships with companies like Henkel provide the  resources and support we need to build communities that serve all of our neighbors.”

“At Henkel North America we are building on our legacy of integrity as a family-owned business, we aim to exhibit the Henkel spirit by partnering with local organizations to make a positive impact in the communities where we operate.” says Oliver Klewe, Vice  President Furniture and Building Components at Henkel. “Henkel’s Welcome Home initiative reflects that commitment, and my team and I feel honored to partner with Raritan Valley Habitat for Humanity to support them on their mission to improve people’s lives  and help New Jersey’s communities to thrive.”

This project was part of Raritan Valley Habitat’s Neighborhood Revitalization program, which partners with organizations and municipalities to improve the quality of life for current and future residents of targeted areas.
