ICYMI - Raritan Borough Police Department changes to traffic pattern can cost you points and money
The Borough of Raritan has recently approved an ordinance prohibiting left turns from Fifth Street onto First Ave and from Tillman Street onto First Ave. The Department of Public Works is currently installing the new signage in both areas.
There are new traffic patterns on Tillman Street and Fifth Street.
Neither of these patterns do not allows a left turn onto First Ave, nor do they allow a vehicle to cross the intersection. There is the addition of the new signage placed in the area, and the police have placed our mobile traffic trailer in the area, advising of the new traffic pattern.
The penalties for a violation of 39:4-115 include two points on your license and a fine of up to $200.00
