BRIDGEWATER TOWNSHIP, N.J. (March 2026) — Bridgewater Commons continues to elevate its shopping experience this year, with the January debut of a massive new Anthropologie and recent opening of Popeyes to be followed by two more new stores and two major expansions throughout 2026.
On January 28, Anthropologie made its debut in a 9,577-square-foot space on the Main Level by Bloomingdale’s, providing a stunning showcase for its full collection of fashion, home furnishings and décor, garden, and gifting. This location features Anthropologie Weddings, providing a curated selection of bridal gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and accessories, along with specialized wedding stylists. It is Anthropologie’s only wedding service location in New Jersey.
“Anthropologie is one of the most in-demand lifestyle brands in retail, offering a uniquely eclectic and entertaining mix of artistry and quality in its apparel, accessories and decor. We’re thrilled to welcome them to Bridgewater Commons,” said Troy Fischer, senior general manager of Bridgewater Commons. “And there will be more excitement to come as we continue our reinvention of the center with the addition of more of the retail, dining and entertainment experiences that our guests want and deserve.”
On March 9, Popeyes opened a new, 644-square-foot space in the mall’s Food Court serving mouth-watering crunch and juicy fried chicken bursting with Louisiana flavor. Popeyes features AI-powered, touch-screen self-service kiosks, with over 70% usage rates in some locations, reducing wait times and increasing average check sizes. These kiosks feature a redesigned, user-friendly interface inspired by the Popeyes app, allowing for easy customization and digital, in-store ordering.
The openings are the continuation of more than two years of introducing new retail, dining, and entertainment experiences, with more to come. The second quarter will the opening of a new,1,034-square-foot Rowan studio, offering its signature safe, celebratory ear-piercing experience and a curated selection of hypoallergenic jewelry, and the reopening of global jewelry icon Pandora in a larger, 1,050-square-foot space on the Main Level near lululemon.
Planned for the third quarter is the opening of lifestyle and intimates brand Aerie in a new, expanded 9,839-square-foot store on the Upper Level, positioned as a side-by-side location with American Eagle.
Coming in the fourth quarter will be OFFLINE by Aerie, the brand’s activewear and athleisure concept, featuring apparel and accessories designed to support movement, wellness, and comfortable everyday wear. The assortment includes leggings, sports bras, bike shorts, workout tops, fleece and lounge pieces, and accessories. The 2,907-square-foot store will be located in Aerie’s former space on the Main Level.
OFFLINE will expand Bridgewater Commons’ exceptionally robust offerings of athletic and athleisure brands, which include Champs, Club Champion, Epic Kicks, Fabletics, Foot Locker, JD Sports, Lids, and Pro Image Sports, among others.
“OFFLINE by Aerie is one of the most exciting and fastest-growing brands in retail,” Fischer said. “The ability to offer three brands from the American Eagle Outfitters portfolio — American Eagle, Aerie, and now OFFLINE — to our guests is a tremendous testament to our successful modernization of our tenant mix over the last two years.”
Located along Interstate 287 at the intersections of Route 22 and Route 202/206, the 37-year-old Bridgewater Commons is Somerset County’s largest shopping, dining and entertainment destination.
