As families across Somerset County look ahead to a fresh start in the new year, the Somerset County Family & Community Health Sciences team is opening registration for its next Healthy Together Family Lifestyle Program — a free, six‑week series designed to help families build healthier habits together.

Beginning January 22, 2026, the program meets every Thursday from 4–6 p.m. and offers parents and children a supportive, hands‑on environment to learn how small, consistent changes can make a big difference. The focus is simple but powerful: helping families set realistic goals, improve nutrition, increase physical activity, and reduce the risk of chronic disease.

Open to families with children ages 8–13, Healthy Together blends education with fun, interactive activities that encourage teamwork and long‑term lifestyle shifts. Whether it’s learning how to make healthier meals, understanding portion sizes, or finding ways to stay active as a family, the program gives participants practical tools they can use every day.

Families interested in joining must complete a brief registration survey by January 9 to determine eligibility.

This initiative reflects Somerset County’s ongoing commitment to community wellness — empowering families to start the year strong, informed, and connected.
