Somerset County Sheriff’s Office Connects With Families at Thomas Edison EnergySmart Charter School

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ — The Somerset County Sheriff’s Office spent the day engaging with students and families at the Thomas Edison EnergySmart Charter School, joining the community for a series of educational and hands‑on activities.

The visit featured interactive demonstrations with the Sheriff’s K‑9 Unit, giving students an up‑close look at the important role K‑9 teams play in public safety. Officers also spent time speaking with families, answering questions, and participating in activities designed to build trust and strengthen community relationships.

School leaders and families welcomed the opportunity to partner with the Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office expressed appreciation for the invitation and emphasized its ongoing commitment to “protecting and connecting” with residents across Somerset County.
