ICYMI - Bound Brook Borough Chief of Police Jason Gianotto announced an investigation into a report of shots fired

BOUND BROOK BOROUGH, N.J. – Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald, Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Acting Chief of County Detectives Meredith McKay, and Bound Brook Borough Chief of Police Jason Gianotto announced an investigation into a report of shots fired that occurred on the evening of Monday, April 20, 2026, in Bound Brook.

Prosecutor McDonald stated that on Monday, April 20, 2026, at approximately 9:20 p.m., Bound Brook Police officers responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Vosseller Avenue and West High Street in Bound Brook. At this time, there have been no reported injuries related to this incident.

Detectives from the Bound Brook Police Department responded to investigate, along with detectives from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit. While the circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation, there has been no indication of an active threat to the public at this time.
