Hillsborough Welcomes Stephen Miller as New Director of School Counseling

Hillsborough Township Public Schools is excited to welcome Stephen Miller as the district’s new Director of School Counseling, effective July 1.

Mr. Miller brings more than 15 years of experience in PreK–12 counseling and educational leadership. He joins Hillsborough from Roselle Public Schools, where he played a key role in strengthening student support systems and expanding district‑wide wellness initiatives.

Throughout his career, Mr. Miller has been known for putting students and families at the center of his work. His accomplishments include launching a “Parent University” series to deepen family engagement, overseeing HIB prevention efforts, and implementing mental‑health screeners to ensure students receive timely support.

His commitment to data‑informed decision‑making, paired with a genuine passion for student well‑being, positions him as a strong leader for Hillsborough’s counseling department. The district is confident that his expertise, vision, and student‑first approach will have a meaningful impact across all schools.
