BRIDGEWATER – Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School (SCVTHS) is pleased to announce that Trinity Grover, a senior in the Welding program, is the Student of the Month for June 2026. Trinity is the daughter of Stephanie Torres and Charles Grover of Hillsborough.
Each month during the 2025-2026 school year, SCVTHS faculty and staff nominated students who demonstrated a trait that made them an asset to the school community. June’s theme is “Most Improved” and students were nominated for the honor because their hard work, focus, and commitment to improvement has enabled them to overcome challenges and make meaningful progress, showing that with perseverance and the right attitude, growth is always possible. According to SCVTHS School Counselor Jenn Nelson, Trinity was chosen for this honor because “she has been a great role model and a tremendous support to her classmates, always encouraging others and helping out when needed. Her teachers are very proud of all the progress she’s made and of the many positive qualities she has brought to our school community.”
Trinity’s hard work at SCVTHS has resulted in multiple honor roll recognitions for academics. She also has an artistic side, receiving an award from her previous high school for her talent as a painter. When she is not busy with schoolwork, she volunteers at the Hillsborough YMCA and has several part time jobs, including a side gig that allows her to use her creativity to design and paint nails.
In her downtime, Trinity enjoys writing poems, watching movies, going to the gym, and spending time with her family.
Trinity’s plans for her future include continuing to hone her skills in welding at Raritan Valley Community College, and then traveling the world as a welder.
Congratulations to Trinity Grover, the June 2026 SCVTHS Student of the Month.
