MANVILLE, N.J. — Manville High School’s Jayran Rodriguez delivered a standout performance at the Somerset County Cross Country Championships, finishing fourth overall with a time of 16:10, the best individual finish in school history. Rodriguez also set a new course record at Pleasant Valley Park, breaking the previous mark by an impressive one minute and thirty seconds.
The Manville High School boys cross country team also made history, posting a new school team average record of 17:45 at Pleasant Valley Park and finishing seventh overall, marking the program’s best finish ever at the county tournament.
