BRIDGEWATER – Students at Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School (SCVTHS) recently participated in a joint project between the New Jersey and New Hampshire Departments of Education to send holiday greetings to members of the armed services.
The SCVTHS SkillsUSA chapter organized the “Thinking of Our Warriors” campaign at the school. Members of the school community wrote individual messages in 200 cards that had been printed by students in Mr. Alfieri’s Graphic Communications classes. The cards will be sent to active duty service members deployed around the world, as well as to veterans at the Lyons VA Medical Center.
Michelle Fresco, advisor to the SkillsUSA chapter, said "We are proud to support our military heroes and are sending personalized holiday cards of respect, caring, and gratitude and letting them know that they are not alone during the holiday season."
