Celebrate New Jersey STEM Month with the Bound Brook Robotics Team! Makers of all ages are invited to build and experiment in a fun, interactive Maker’s Lab where they can make a catapult, watch water disappear, build a parachute, make a dancing ladybug, learn about the power of pulleys, build a marshmallow tower, and create a tornado in a bottle. Bring your curious mind, all other materials will be provided.

New Jersey has a long history of scientific investment and innovation as the home of Thomas Edison, Bell Labs and many pharmaceutical companies. For the sixth year in a row, March has been recognized by the New Jersey State Legislature and gubernatorial proclamation as New Jersey STEM Month. All organizations in the state are called to showcase and celebrate excellent work in STEM this month by hosting or attending events and engaging on social media.

Bridgewater Commons has long hosted programs to encourage students to pursue their love of science, and Saturday will be no exception. The Bound Brook High School Robotics Team 56, also known as R.O.B.B.E. (Robotics of Bound Brook Ethicon), has a residency sponsored by Bridgewater Commons on the Lower Level where they design, build, test, and practice to compete in FIRST® Robotics Competitions.
