Bringing Holiday Cheer: Somerset County Sheriff’s Office “Shops With a Hero”

This past Friday evening, the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office had the joy of partnering with local law enforcement and community heroes to make the holiday season brighter for children in our community. The event, part of the Somerset County Community Action Program’s “Shop With a Hero”, took place at the Target in Bridgewater.

Children and their families were treated to a special evening of shopping, guided by law enforcement officers and funded through donated gift cards. The experience was filled with laughter, smiles, and even a few heartwarming hugs, creating memories that will last far beyond the holiday season.

Adding to the festive spirit, the Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit brought along a four-legged member of the team, spreading extra cheer and delighting everyone in attendance.
