Peddler’s Village to Present Annual OctoberFeast on October 12 and 13
Lahaska, PA — Peddler’s Village, a countryside shopping, dining, lodging, and family entertainment destination in the heart of historic Bucks County, PA, will present its eighth annual OctoberFeast festival on Saturday and Sunday, October 12 & 13, from 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. on both days. The autumn festival, which features live music, activities, an outdoor beer garden, and Oktoberfest-inspired food, also offers guests the chance to view and vote for their favorite scarecrows on display during Scarecrows in the Village.
The OctoberFeast festival will feature special entertainment by Philadelphia-based German bands including Polkadelphia and the Philadelphia German Brass Band, as well as performances by Give & Take Jugglers and Galena Brass Band. The festival will offer outdoor food and drinks at five restaurant tents and food trucks, pay-as-you-go activities, including ax-throwing, moonbounces, pumpkin painting, and a petting zoo, as well as free activities, including hay piles, lawn games, and mural painting. Admission to the festival is free. VIP packages are available for purchase that include priority parking, festival tees, a $20 dining gift card, and two carousel rides at Giggleberry Fair. OctoberFeast will be held rain or shine; however, in case of severe weather, activities and entertainment may change or be moved indoors.
Scarecrows in the Village, an autumn tradition which this year features 200 scarecrows across six categories, is on display through October 27. Members of the public are invited to vote for their favorites in each category on the Peddler’s Village mobile app or with a paper ballot through October 14. Admission to the display is free. Halloween events include a Pumpkin-Carving Contest (on display October 21-27), an adult Halloween party, Deadly Silent Disco Party, on Friday, October 25, and a Halloween party for kids, the Slightly Batty Halloween Wing-Ding, which takes place on Saturday, October 26. The deadline to enter the Pumpkin-Carving Contest is October 16. Tickets are required for the adult and kids Halloween parties.
Other upcoming events include Apple Festival on Saturday and Sunday, November 2 & 3, and Holiday Kickoff Weekend on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, November 15 through 17. The Holiday Kickoff Weekend marks the beginning of the spectacular million-light holiday display at Peddler’s Village as well as the annual Gingerbread Competition & Display. Grand Illumination Celebration, featuring Santa, Mrs. Claus, and other special guests, takes place on the evening of Friday, November 15.
The deadline to enter the Gingerbread Competition & Display, which runs from November 15 through January 19, is November 6. All members of the public are invited to participate for a chance to win cash prizes.
