Commissioner Shanel Y. Robinson sworn in as Commissioner Director for 2025, and Commissioner Melonie Marano sworn in as Commissioner Deputy Director for 2025.

Congratulations to our re-elected Somerset County Commissioners Shanel Y. Robinson and Sara Sooy who were sworn in by Governor Phil Murphy on January 3, 2025 at Somerset County’s Historic Courthouse. 

Additional congratulations to Commissioner Shanel Y. Robinson on being sworn in as Commissioner Director for 2025, and to Commissioner Melonie Marano on being sworn in as Commissioner Deputy Director for 2025. 

Our County Commissioners are honored to continue to serve the residents of Somerset County. As Somerset County’s Director Shanel Y. Robinson said during today’s ceremony, “the focus of everything we do in planning and delivering services is meeting our residents where they are.
