Kristina Zalewski Named SCVTHS Student of the Month for June 2025

BRIDGEWATER – Kristina Zalewski of Somerville, a Sophomore in the Culinary Arts program at Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School (SCVTHS), has been selected as Student of the Month for June 2025. Kristina is the daughter of John and Marcia Zalewski.

Kristina was selected for the award after being nominated by her teachers, who noted that she was conscientious about her work, pleasant and kind to those around her, and that she always goes above-and-beyond in everything she does.

Outside the classroom, Kristina is involved in a variety of activities. She was one of sixteen students who participated in Disney’s Cook Around the World Competition that was held at Epcot in Orlando. She also volunteered at many culinary events at SCVTHS, as well as local events like the Somerville Holiday Lights Parade. And, though just a sophomore, she has already been selected as a SCVTHS Stellar Student two times.

When she is not in the classroom, kitchen, or participating in activities, Kristina enjoys being with her family, cooking and baking, and spending time down the Shore.

Kristina would like to attend culinary school after graduating from SCVTHS, focusing on Baking & Pastry and Culinary Science. She also hopes to spend some time studying abroad, honing her baking skills in Paris and other cities throughout Europe.
