BRIDGEWATER – Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School (SCVTHS) will hold its 19th Annual Open House from 9 AM – Noon on Saturday, October 18, 2025.
During the event, faculty, staff, and current students will be available to answer questions, give tours, and provide information on each of the twenty-two Career and Technical Education (CTE) Programs available at SCVTHS. This includes four new programs that have started this year – Biomedical, Finance, HVACR, and Global Business Operations.
In addition to information on career and academic offerings, visitors will be able to tour classroom and CTE shops, attend program-specific demonstrations, sample hors d'oeuvres prepared and served by Culinary Arts students, and stop by the SkillsUSA bake sale to pick up some treats to support this student organization. Guests will also be able to meet with the advisors of SCVTHS sports teams, extracurricular activities, and clubs.
Another highlight of the day is an opportunity to tour two newly completed buildings on the SCVTHS campus. The CTE building includes classrooms, shops, and learning labs for multiple programs. The second new building is an auxiliary gym that provides additional space for physical education classes and sporting events.
SCVTHS Student Ambassadors will assume a large role in the day’s activities. This group of student volunteers regularly visit Somerset County middle schools to talk about their CTE programs and to answer questions from future classmates. During the Open House, they will lead tours and will provide insight into their experience as part of the SCVTHS community.
