Basking Ridge, NJ — A local teacher employed in the Bridgewater-Raritan school district has been arrested for allegedly cyberharassing and stalking a 17-year-old girl, who was previously victimized by a field hockey coach, according to the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office.
Who Is Involved
Tracy Biondi, 56, of Basking Ridge, a teacher in the Bridgewater-Raritan schools, was charged with fourth-degree cyber harassment, fourth-degree stalking, and a disorderly-person’s harassment offense.
The teen was previously coached by Brett Clay, a traveling field hockey coach who was convicted in February of attempted criminal sexual contact with her.
Allegations Against Biondi
Prosecutors say that after Clay’s conviction, Biondi waged a “relentless campaign” against the victim. New Jersey 101.5+1
Anonymous handwritten letters containing “lewd, indecent, and obscene” statements about the victim were sent to her friends, classmates, and teammates.
In addition to the letters, Biondi allegedly used social media to send damaging and false messages about the victim to her friends, calling her a “liar” even though Clay had admitted guilt.

Motivation & Context
The prosecutor’s office reports that Biondi publicly supported Clay during his criminal case and even encouraged other field hockey families to rally behind him. SOURCE: New Jersey 101.5
Officials called her behavior an effort to “harass and revictimize” the teen, rather than accept the conviction.
Current Status
Biondi was arrested and is being held at the Somerset County Jail pending a hearing.
