BRIDGEWATER TWP, N.J. – Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald, Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Acting Chief of County Detectives Meredith McKay, and Bridgewater Township Police Chief John Mitzak are advising of an ongoing police investigation in the area of Hill Lane in Bridgewater Township. Law Enforcement personnel remain on scene.
Prosecutor McDonald stated that the investigation is contained to a single residence, and there is no
threat to the public at large at this time. Residents in the immediate area should continue to shelter in place until further notice. Motorists are urged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
Due to the nature of the ongoing investigation, limited information is being released. Additional information will be provided when appropriate. Prosecutor McDonald, Acting Chief McKay, and Chief Mitzak request anyone with information relating to this investigation to contact the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office at (908) 231-7100 or the Bridgewater Township Police Department at (908) 722-4111 or via the STOPit app. The STOPit app allows citizens to provide anonymous reports including videos and photos.
