10/09/2022

A Princeton, NJ resident reported a suspicious person on their property during the early morning hours in the area of Bunker Hill Rd. A white male suspect wearing a ski mask and carrying an unknown object attempted entry into three locked vehicles on the property. He was unsuccessful and fled the area. Patrol canvassed the area with negative results.

A Princeton, NJ resident reported a burglary to their unlocked vehicle during the overnight hours while parked in the area of Bunker Hill Rd. The unknown suspect(s) did not take any property but left the driver’s side door open upon fleeing.

A Somerset, NJ resident reported the theft of a lawn ornament on 10/08/22 during the morning hours in the area of Sherborne St. The heavy-set white male suspect removed the ornament described as a crow and fled the area. The item was valued at $70.00.

A Somerset, NJ resident reported suspicious activity on her property that occurred on 10/08/22 during the morning hours in the area of Sherborne St. A white male suspect was observed on the reporting person’s porch attempting entry into a locked patio door. The suspect was unsuccessful and exited the property.

A Somerset, NJ resident reported the theft of a delivered package from their porch during the evening hours in the area of Rose St. The black male suspect fled with the package containing $9.00 worth of disposable coffee cups.

A Somerset, NJ resident reported suspicious activity in the area of Lenape Dr. during the midnight hour. Two male suspects approached the reporting person’s driveway but fled once the flood lights activated.

A Somerset, NJ resident reported their vehicle stolen during the overnight hours in the area of Garretson Dr. The unknown suspect(s) were able to gain entry via an unlocked door where the keys were left inside. The vehicle was valued at $52,000.00.

Ricardo Myers, 62, of Somerset, NJ was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Franklin Twp. during a motor vehicle stop. He was processed and released on his own recognizance. NOTE: We are required by the Rules of Court to include herein a statement explaining that the charges are merely an accusation, and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.”

A black male suspect attempted to pass three $20.00 counterfeit bills at a store located on Rt. 27. The employee confiscated the fake bills, and the suspect fled the store prior to police arrival.

10/13/2022

A Somerset, NJ resident reported a burglary to their residence and their motor vehicle stolen during the overnight hours in the area of Stone Leigh Way. The unknown suspect(s) stole the unlocked vehicle from the driveway but prior to doing so gained access into the residence via the garage and stole personal belongings valued at $4,480.00.

10/14/2022

A gas station located on Hamilton St. was the victim of a theft during the morning hours. The suspects, described as a Hispanic female and male, fled the business without paying for $40.00 worth of gas.

A Somerset, NJ resident was the victim of a telephone scam by two females. The two females advised the victim that her alleged granddaughter needed bail money in the amount of $9,800.00. The victim acquired the cash which was picked up by a black male suspect. After the retrieval, the victim realized she was the victim of a scam. A business located on Veronica Ave. reported a theft of equipment by a black male suspect during the afternoon hours. The suspect stole property valued at $1000.00 from the exterior of the warehouse.

Nelson Gonzalez, 34, of Somerset, NJ was arrested for a no bail warrant out of the Somerset County Sherriff’s Office. He was processed and transported to Somerset County Jail without incident. NOTE: We are required by the Rules of Court to include herein a statement explaining that the charges are merely an accusation, and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.”

A Somerset, NJ resident reported a burglary to their vehicle while it was parked in the area of Philips Rd. between 10/11/22 and 10/13/22. The unknown suspect(s) removed a license plate from the vehicle and stole the registration from the glove compartment.

A Somerset, NJ resident reported the theft of their cell phone by an unknown suspect(s) during the afternoon hours. The cell phone was taken from a bench on the reporting person’s property in the area of Gold St. The phone was valued at $150.00.

A Somerset, NJ resident reported the theft of their bicycle while it was left outside in the area of Caitlyn Ct. during the overnight hours. The unknown suspect(s) made away with the bike valued at $199.00.
