Raritan Borough Traffic Alert for the Weekend

This Saturday, 9/21/24, the Borough of Raritan will be hosting the Manila Madness 5k Run. The run will start at 10am and finish around 12pm. A large portion of Somerset Street, First Avenue (southside of town) and Old York Road will be closed. The surrounding streets will either be closed or detoured. Officers and DPW personnel will be posted along the route to best assist drivers.

This Sunday, 9/22/24, the Borough will be hosting the John Basilone Parade which begins at 1pm.

The following streets are designated No Parking areas and vehicles must be removed by 8:30am on Sunday:

-Anderson Street (Route 202 to Train Station)

-Thompson Street (Route 202 to LaGrange Street)

-Sherman Avenue (Anderson Street to Southwick Street)

-Bell Avenue (Anderson Street to Southwick Street)

-Railroad Avenue

-Victoria Street

-Southwick Street

The following streets are also No Parking areas and vehicles must be removed by 12pm on Sunday:

-LaGrange Street (Thompson Street to Codington Street)

-Codington Street

-Somerset Street (Codington Street to Gaston Ave)

-Gaston Avenue

Notices will be placed on vehicles Thursday, Friday and Saturday night for the parade. Your vehicle may be subject to tow in the event it is not moved by the designated time. We thank you for your cooperation in making this a safe weekend.
