Basilone Field Rededication Ceremony - Invitation

The Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District will have a rededication and reopening ceremony of the John Basilone Memorial Field Complex located at 600 Garretson Road, Bridgewater, NJ.

As part of our district referendum, the Basilone complex has undergone extensive renovations that are nearing completion. Part of the ceremony will include unveiling the monument honoring Gunnery Sergeant John A. Basilone, USMC, resident of Raritan, who was the recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor and Navy Cross during WWII. The monument was donated in his memory by the Disabled American Veterans Department of New Jersey and the complex has been named in his honor.

The brief ceremony will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024, at 5 p.m. before the Bridgewater-Raritan High School football game vs. Phillipsburg High School at 7 p.m.
