Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District - cheer team won the Somerset County title
The Bridgewater-Raritan High School cheer team repeated as the Somerset County champion on Wednesday, October 23. The Somerset County cheer competition was held at the Vaughn Stapleton Gymnasium at Bridgewater-Raritan High School.
Bridgewater-Raritan's championship effort, according to the team’s cheer coach, Jeanne Faryna, is the 10th county title won by Bridgewater-Raritan since the first Somerset County Championship meet in 2010.
“Our team has put in a lot of hours in the gym since practices began in August, and it was certainly rewarding to see that hard work pay off last night (October 23),” Coach Faryna said. “While we are obviously happy, the team is not satisfied, as we know there is more work to do. We have three more competitions coming up in November, and we hope to qualify for the national championships in February.”
The members of the Bridgewater-Raritan High School Somerset County Champion cheer team are: Carolina Tamboer, Breelyn Myers, Julia Frigiano, Twyla Lant, Paige Pacifico, Sophia Pellegrino, Ava Green, Amelia Pan, Natalia Cruz, Serena Grasso, Nasia Davis, Diana Berliner, Grace Donato.
