On March 15, 2025, the Somerset County Surrogate’s Office will open its first offsite location at the Franklin Township Community/Senior Center on 505 DeMott Lane, Somerset, NJ. On the third Saturday of each month, the secondary office will be open from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
“In an effort to make our office more accessible to the public, we are opening up an ancillary office in the community,” said Somerset County Surrogate Bernice “Tina” Jalloh. “Many of our clients have to take off from work to make it to our office during the week, and have been asking if we have Saturday hours. In response to this resident need, we are excited to utilize this ancillary location to provide Saturday support.”
The expansion into Somerset creates more accessibility for those seeking assistance with probating wills and administration. The public can take advantage of these weekend services by calling 908-231-7003 to schedule an appointment in advance.
