RideWise Celebrates Black History Month by Honoring Transportation Trailblazers

Today’s spotlight is on Garrett Morgan, the visionary inventor behind the three‑position traffic signal. His design introduced the now‑essential yellow light, creating a “stop in all directions” interval that dramatically reduced collisions at intersections. Morgan’s invention became a foundational advancement in traffic safety, improving roadway conditions for drivers, pedestrians, and emergency responders.
