Stoutsburg Sourland African American Museum Hosts Powerful Panel on The Black Church’s Role in Civil Rights and Social Justice

Princeton, NJ – The Stoutsburg Sourland African American Museum (SSAAM) is proud to present a thought-provoking panel discussion on the enduring role of the Black Church in shaping Civil Rights and Social Justice. This dynamic event will take place on March 15, 2025, at Princeton Theological Seminary, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a Q&A session.

From its pivotal role in the Civil Rights Movement to its ongoing contributions to social justice today, the Black Church continues to inspire transformative change.The interactive panel will feature leading voices in faith and social justice activism from across the Northeast, including:

• Rev. Naomi Washington-Leapheart
• Rev. Dr. Charles Boyer
• Dr. Keri L. Day
• Rev. Tamesha Mills

These experts will discuss the significant impact of the Black Church on shaping movements for justice and equity, reflecting on past struggles, current battles, and the future of social justice advocacy.
